Going back to the start, I initially cloned the SSD with Samsung Data Migration and, according to that program, everything completed successfully. I thought of "Secure Erase" but when I connect the ssd to via the usb/sata cable to my laptop Samsung Magician does not recognize it as an SSD 840 evo but rather an "AMST 2105 USB Device" and, as a result, does not provide the option of a secure erase. ![]()
